About Native Air with Hugh Foley
Dr. Foley is a widely respected Oklahoma music historian, an author and founding board member of the Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame.
His primary areas of scholarship are American Studies with an emphasis on Oklahoma music and culture, Native American studies and cinema. On the air since 1998, Native Air is a community-oriented radio program featuring traditional and contemporary American Indian music, news of interest to Indian Country, and announcements of local activities such as powwows, benefits, exhibits, and other events of interest to Native Americans.
KUSH broadcasts from within the historic and contemporary boundaries of the Sac and Fox Nation of Oklahoma with multiple tribes and tribal people within the KUSH listening area.
