Joyce Abrams, Traffic Director, Sales, Marketing, Producer, Talent scout, Newshound, Webmaster and straight girl on KUSH’s HOME program, is a wearer of many hats.
Not only does she do a great job “pushing the KUSH,” Joyce enjoys volunteering at her church and our community plus she serves on the Cushing Chamber of Commerce Ambassador committee. In her spare time, although she admits she doesn’t seem to have much, she has appeared in plays at the Cushing Community Theatre and has taken home the trophy for the inaugural Dancing with the Cimarron Stars competition.
Joyce has a degree in nursing, computers, and Homeland Security/Emergency Management. She left her career in nursing to be a part of the KUSH team but has remained involved in Emergency Management as one of the Deputy Directors of Cushing’s emergency management team.
But that’s not all! She is the mother of three sons, Christopher, Matthew and Lane and three adorable grandchildren, Dalton, Alorra, and Harper – and has another one on the way. She loves dogs and her boyfriend Carl.
Although Joyce set aside a lucrative career in nursing, she has never regretted her choice of being in show biz where she meets many interesting and talented people.
