(Stillwater, Okla.) — A Yale man accused of standing naked behind a glass door inside his home across the street from Yale High School, while it was in session, has been ordered to stand trial in Payne County District Court on an indecent exposure charge.
Travis Dean Rogers, 47, remains free on $5,000 bond pending a Jan. 15 pre-trial hearing on the felony punishable by as much as a 10-year prison term and $20,000 fine on conviction.
Yale Police Officer Ken Moore wrote in an affidavit, “I was shown two pictures of a white male standing naked in his doorway,” at 12:34 p.m. on Feb. 28.
A Yale High School employee “told me that this naked man stayed in the doorway long enough for her to get in her car and drive by his house and take two pictures,” the Yale officer alleged in his affidavit.
An hour later when the officer spoke with Rogers at his home across the street from Yale High School, “Mr. Rogers told me he had been home alone until my arrival,” the Yale officer alleged in his affidavit.
“I asked Mr. Rogers if he had been standing in his doorway naked. Mr. Rogers told me yes,” the Yale officer alleged in his affidavit.
“Mr. Rogers told me he had come to the door after waking up, opened the front door (and) stood behind the storm door,” which is clear and can be seen through, the Yale officer alleged in his affidavit.
“I asked Mr. Rogers if he knew that (there) is a school across the street from him. He told me, yes he did.
“I asked Mr. Rogers if he had seen any children while he was standing naked in the doorway. He told me no,” the Yale officer wrote in his affidavit.
“I asked Mr. Rogers if he had seen anyone while he was standing naked in the doorway. He told me no. I advised Mr. Rogers that someone had seen him and took pictures,” the Yale officer wrote in his affidavit.
“I asked Mr. Rogers if he remembered talking to anyone about this kind of thing happening before. Mr. Rogers told me that last year Phillip Kelly had spoken with him, but Mr. Rogers said that those people made it up then, but this time it did happen,” the Yale officer alleged in his affidavit.
“I told Mr. Rogers that this would be filed and sent to the District Attorney’s Office,” the Yale officer wrote in his affidavit.
