Vivian Lauderdale Martin, Cushing resident, passed away on Sunday, November 23, 2014 at the age of 94 years.
She was born to Charles E. and Nellie M. Barnhart on September 18, 1920 in Shamrock, Oklahoma.
Vivian was united in marriage to Ira L. Lauderdale on January 8, 1939 in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Ira preceded her in death on September 8, 1972. She later married Benny Martin, he preceded her in death in March 1988.
Vivian was a long time active member of the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and a dedicated volunteer for the Cushing Regional Hospital Auxiliary with over 3,000 hours of service.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Iris and Jack Hudgins of Cushing, Oklahoma; her brother, Earl D. Barnhart of Goddard, Kansas; grandchildren, Erin and Jim Turner of Sapulpa, Oklahoma, Jill and Kelly Wright of Anderson, South Carolina, Lori and John Buchholz of Lone Grove, Oklahoma and Kevin Beard of Lone Grove, Oklahoma; numerous great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends, including caregiver and special friend, Donna Hardy.
In addition to her husbands and parents, Vivian was preceded in death by her daughter, Joyce K. Beard; son-in-law, Donnie G. Beard and brothers, Jack H. Barnhart and Charles E. Barnhart.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. in the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) with Bill Skye officiating.
Burial will follow in the New Zion Cemetery.
