(Cushing, Okla.) A variety of artwork by local artists will be on display at the 16th Biennial Cushing Community Art Show. The show will open on Friday, August 31, 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Lachenmeyer Arts Center which is located in the Cushing Youth & Community Center at 700 S. Little Ave. The public is invited.
The biennial show will display baskets, jewelry, paintings, photographs, pottery, prints, raku & watercolor created by area artists. This show takes place during September of every even numbered year to recognize artistic talent in the Cushing area.
Artists participating this year include Larry Crumbliss, Linda Crumbliss, Tom Cummings, Diane Harwick, M.J. Henderson-Smith, Earnestine Hodo, Courtney Huseman, Kirk Huseman, Jessica L. Jones, Connie Martin, Nell Maxwell, Darrell Maynard, Liz Mitchell, Barbara Baker Phillips, Rob Smith, Virginia Thomas, Dot Turman, Randy Watkins, Ben Welch, Etta Mae Welch, and Linda Wells.
The 16th Biennial Cushing Community Art Show will be on display August 31st through the September 13th. Hours at the Lachenmeyer Arts Center are 9:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. on Monday, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday & Friday and 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. on Thursday.
