(Stillwater, Okla.) — A Stillwater man on probation for attempting to break into his ex-girlfriend’s house and having a gun at the time was given a seven-year prison term Tuesday for possessing methamphetamine with intent to distribute, to which he pleaded guilty.
Vincent Kale Sierra, 28, was advised by Associate District Judge Michael Kulling that he would suspend the balance of his prison sentence on his completion of the Bill Johnson Drug Offender Work Camp program. Sierra was also ordered to comply with the methamphetamine registry.
Sierra had been arrested in Stillwater at 12:28 pm on March 1, 2024, after Stillwater Police Detective Josh Carson saw him and another man put bags in the trunk of a car that was subsequently stopped for a traffic offense, his affidavit said.
“I know Vincent is always involved in drug activity and is currently out on bond from Oklahoma County…I observed Vincent Sierra sitting in the rear passenger seat. I asked Vincent to step out of the car. As he did, he threw a silver screw top container toward (the other man.)  The container was filled with a crystal substance that appeared to be methamphetamine,” the detective wrote in his affidavit.
“Detective Elliott deployed his K9 partner and performed a free air sniff of the vehicle. Detective Elliott told me his K9 partner alerted to the odor of illegal drugs. I searched the vehicle. In a back pack located in the trunk, I found a fanny pack that contained a Gerber brand knife sheath made for the knife Vincent had on his person.
“A set of digital scales with meth residue on them, along with more methamphetamine, were located. I also found two locked screw top safes that contained methamphetamine,” Detective Carson wrote in his affidavit.
When Sierra was interview following his arrest, “Vincent stated he is buying fentanyl pills in Oklahoma City for $2 per pill and methamphetamine for $175 an ounce. Vincent stated he can sell the pills for $20 in Stillwater and the methamphetamine for $300 per ounce. I asked Vincent if his phone would contain messages of him selling drugs and he stated, ‘yes,"” the detective wrote in his affidavit.
In November of 2022, Sierra had been given a six-month jail term followed by six and one-half years of probation for trying to kick open the front door of a house occupied by his ex-girlfriend and her companion and possessing a gun during a burglary attempt.
In court Tuesday, the judge also revoked the balance of Sierra’s sentence in that 2022 case, which he said he would suspend on his completion of the Drug Offender Work Camp in prison.
