Stephen G. Mosher, Sr., retired United States Army, and resident of Cushing, passed away Friday, March 21, 2014, in the V.A. Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of 69.

    The son of the late Arthur Mosher and Helen Gley Mosher, Stephen was born on April 27, 1944 in New Bedford, Massachusetts, and was raised and educated in the New England area.

    He was united in marriage to Betsy Walker on February 3, 1968 in South Easton, Massachusetts, and to this union two children, Steve and Kerrinda were born.

    Steve retired after 30 years service to our country in the United States Army. The couple moved to Cushing in December of 2000. For several years he worked for Ahrberg Milling prior to his full retirement.

    He enjoyed his family, especially his grandchildren, taking them fishing and playing outdoors with them.  He also enjoyed watching movies, spending time on the computer and watching and attending Nascar.

    Survivors include his wife Betsy Mosher of the home; one son Steve Mosher of Cushing; one daughter Kerri Randall and her husband Jim of Cushing; three grandchildren, Justin Mosher, Colin Randall and Austin Randall; two brothers Richard Mosher of Methuen, Massachusetts, and David Mosher of Huntington Beach, New York; one sister Karen Mosher of Wareham, Massachusetts; several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends including his special friends Frank and Mary Delp of Drumright.

    Services will be held Friday, March 28, 2014 at 1 p.m. in the Memorial Chapel of the Davis Funeral Home with Reverend Kevin Clouse officiating.

    Full military services will be conducted by the D.A.V. of Oklahoma City.

    The family will greet friends on Thursday evening from 5 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. in the Floyd Family center, east of the Funeral Home.

    Services are under the direction of the Davis Funeral Home.
