(Cushing, Okla.) American Legion Post 108 held two ceremonies, one at City Hall and the other at Fairlawn-New Zion Cemetery, Monday to honor veterans. Well over 1,000 veterans are buried in Fairlawn-New Zion Cemetery alone.
VFW Post 1118 held a ceremony at Euchee Valley Cemetery and then hosted a well-attended meal at the Post.
Flags flew at half-mast until noon, in honor of those who have served their country.
