Tuesday, November 11 is the day to pause and remember our veterans. Several observances will be held to honor those who serve and have served their country.
The American Legion Post 108 is holding a brief observance at City Hall at 9 a.m. Tuesday morning with Colonel William Ahrberg as the special guest speaker. At 10 a.m. they will hold another observance with Colonel Ahrberg at Fairlawn-New Zion Cemetery. At approximately 10:20 there will be a Black Hawk fly over.
At 11 a.m. the VFW Post 1118 will host an observance at Euchee Valley Cemetery. The Cushing High School Band and Cushing High School Choir will be performing. Immediately following, veterans and their families are invited to a turkey and dressing dinner at the VFW Post.
