(Stillwater, Okla.) – A Perkins man accused of drunk driving, attacking a police officer, spitting on the officer, carrying brass metal knuckles in his car and resisting arrest, all on Nov. 30 in Perkins, has been released from the Payne County Jail on $15,000 bail, with an order to appear in court on Feb. 4, 2019.
If convicted in his latest case, Dillan Parker Anderson, 26, could be incarcerated for 13 years plus 30 days, according to the five-count charge.
Anderson was arrested by Perkins Police Officer Billy Laster at Sadler and E. Kirk in Perkins at 8:18 a.m. on Nov. 30 after a traffic stop, an affidavit alleged.
Anderson was uncooperative and used obscenities toward the officer along with making “multiple threats towards me such as finding me when he gets out of jail,” Laster alleged in his affidavit.
After a spit hood was placed on Anderson, “Anderson continued being verbally assaultive and called one of the Lifenet employees by racial slurs,” the affidavit alleged.
At the Payne County Jail, “Anderson continued his threatening behavior and use of obscenities,” the affidavit alleged.
It was Anderson’s third charge of drunk driving in Perkins; on Aug. 21, 2015, he had been given a five-year deferred sentence for felony DUI in 2015 and a one-year suspended sentence for misdemeanor DUI in 2014, court records show.
Seven months ago, when Anderson pleaded guilty to aggravated drunk driving in Stillwater on Dec. 2, 2017, he was ordered to enroll in and successfully complete the Payne County Drug Court program, with his sentencing stayed until July 26, 2019, court records show.
