(Stillwater, OK) Payne County Health Department will be holding a tetanus immunization clinic for Payne County residents affected by the recent storms on Tuesday, May 28th, Wednesday, May 29th, and Thursday, May 30th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The clinic will be located at the Community Center, Room 121, at 315 W. 8th, in Stillwater, OK. There will be no fee assessed.
Tetanus boosters are recommended for adults and adolescents every 10 years. However, if a person experiences a wound that could have been contaminated by dirt, flood water, etc., it should be repeated if it has been longer than 5 years from the last tetanus injection. Children under the age of ten years old will need to present to their Primary Care Provider or the local health department to determine their need of vaccine.
