(Cushing, Okla.) The following information is a preliminary collision report furnished by the Department of Public Safety.
A personal injury collision occurred on September 3rd (2018) at approximately 1:04 pm on State Highway 48 near the intersection of county road 5500, which is approximately 3 miles west and 2 miles south of Westport, in Pawnee County.
Roger B Wiley, (69) of Tulsa, was driving a 2003 Harley Davidson, and Krystin Nicole Bartleson, (24) of Mannford, was driving a 2007 Dodge Caravan. A third vehicle driven by Theodore Pendergraft, (81) of Cleveland, was a 1997 Dodge pickup.
The Harley Davidson, as well as the Dodge Caravan and the Dodge pickup, were northbound on State Highway 48 when the Harley Davidson attempted to pass the Dodge Caravan and the Dodge pickup. The Dodge pickup was turning left onto County road 5500 and was struck by the Harley Davidson.
Wiley was transported by Mercy Regional EMS to Saint John Hospital (Tulsa) where he was admitted.
Bartleson, nor her passengers, were injured according to the report from the DPS. Dartanian Wells, (23) of Mannford, and Rhonda Wells, (53) of Mannford, were the passengers in the Bartleson vehicle.
Pendergraft was not injured according to the report from the DPS.
The DPS report shows the collision was caused by improper passing.
