(Stillwater, Okla.) Stillwater Police are investigating a shooting that occurred earlier this morning around 10:00AM. The 21 year old female victim and a friend were on the bike path adjacent to Lakeview Rd. near the southwest corner of Boomer Lake when they heard a “sharp noise”. The victim immediately felt something hit her in the back. Upon checking, the victim’s friend discovered she was bleeding.
The victim was taken to the Stillwater Medical Center Emergency Room for treatment where she was treated and released. A small caliber bullet was removed from the victim’s back.
Investigators responded to the scene to collect evidence. Investigators are searching for a possible suspect vehicle described as an 1990’s model baby blue Chevrolet or GMC extended cab pickup with chrome trim. The pickup was just east of Washington when the shooting occurred and continued westbound across Washington street afterward. Investigators are pursuing leads at this time.
