STILLWATER — A 45-year-old man from Woodward County has been charged with sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl, whom he met online, after picking her up on a Sunday at her school in rural Payne County and taking her to Boomer Lake Park in Stillwater, according to allegations in court records.
Roger Leroy Reed of Mooreland, who was arrested on March 12, has been jailed on $100,000 bond pending his arraignment on March 31 on a felony charge consisting of five counts.
If convicted of rape by instrumentation, first-degree rape, and child sexual exploitation on Feb. 15, Reed could be given three life prison terms. If convicted of enticing a child under 16 into a secluded place and performing lewd acts to a child under 16 between Feb. 1 and March 7, he could be given 40 years in prison.
Payne County Sheriff’s Investigator Tomm Edwards had observed a forensic interview of the child on March 9 in which she disclosed that she met Reed on an online dating app on Feb. 1, an affidavit alleged.
During their conversations online, Reed sent the girl images of his genital area and asked her to send nude images of herself, the affidavit alleged.
“Reed asked (her) to meet in person, making plans to meet in person on Feb. 15,” the affidavit alleged.
On Sunday, Feb. 15, Reed came to the school that she attends, which is located in rural Payne County, picked her up, and drove around for a while before eventually arriving at Boomer Lake Park in Stillwater, the affidavit alleged.
While at Boomer Lake Park, Reed digitally penetrated the girl, filmed what he was doing with his phone, and then raped her while she kept telling him to stop, the affidavit alleged. Reed then took her back to the area of her residence in rural Payne County and dropped her off, the affidavit alleged.
