(Cushing, Okla.) The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports a collision occurred at 12:35 (a.m.) on January 27 (2015). The location of the accident was on CR 3470, .4 miles south of CR5000, (3 miles south of Pawnee) in Pawnee County.
James Charles Pratt (54) of Pawnee was driving a 1994 Chevrolet pickup northbound when it departed the roadway to the right, running through a fence then striking a utility pole. The Chevy then rotated ¼ of a time clockwise, before coming to rest.
Pratt was transported by Air Evac to St Francis Hospital (Tulsa) where he was admitted in stable condition with head, trunk, internal and trunk external injuries.
Seat-belts were in use, and the cause of the collision is reported to be DUI (the odor of alcohol was present).
