Carley Cargill and Kristi Bradley gave the KUSH Girls the lastest news and happenings for CHS on Fun Friday during the Donna and Molly Show – with a few laughs included!

The Cushing High School is currently hosting a foreign exchange student.  Sebastien Burette normally lives south of Belgium with his parents and two siblings.  This year he has come to America thanks to the Cushing Rotary Club and will be living with several different Rotary Club families.  He has already lived with the family of Grant McNeal, and is currently living with the Reid family and will be living with the Rhoten family later in the year.  News Flash: Sebastien will be appearing on the Donna and Molly Show during the Fun Friday edition, shortly after 8 am, on January 22, so be sure to tune in to KUSH 1600 AM Radio Station to hear whether Sebastien can survive the KUSH Girls!

The Business Professionals of America (BPA) inducted their officers on November 20 during the member and officer installation. 

There were 25 people present including President Brian Barton; Vice President Taylor German; Secretary Kaylie Barker; Historian Kelcey Wilson; Treasurer Taylor Linder and Reporter Kindra Holt.  Dustin Deavers, a past national and state BPA President was also there as a guest speaker.  Deavers spoke to the students about “shooting for success” and helped with the installation of the members and officers of the CHS BPA.

The Athletes of the Week are Freshman Che’Ron Lewis and Junior Zach McIntosh.  Che’Ron is a CHS Lady Tiger basketball player and Zach plays varsity men’s basketball. 

The Wrestlers lost to Perry 52 – 18 on Tuesday, but were competing in the Bristow Tournament on Friday and Saturday.  Live coverage of the matches were sert to air on KUSH 1600 AM Radio Station Saturday evening. Highlights of the matches can be found on our news and sports page and complete results of those matches will be announced at a later date. 

The boys and girls basketball teams have been participating in the Mannford Tournament.  The boys were beaten by Tulsa Edison, the number one 5A team/returning champions, 90 – 50.

The girls lost by a close six to the Sandites of Sand Springs.  Both teams were set to hit the court Friday evening.  Live Coverage of the games were aired live by KUSH 1600 AM Radio Station and results are posted on this website on the News and Sports Pages at the top and will be discussed next Friday during the Fun Friday Edition of the Donna and Molly Show.

Able Spire, junior at CHS, recently returned from a two-week stint in Australia.  He brought home the bronze medal for junior Olympic shooting.  Spire made a appearance on the Donna and Molly Show on December 2 and discussed his shooting history and future goals.  Able has a lot of CHS and hometown pride – and KUSH would like to congratulate him on his bronze medal!

Two CHS students made All-State-Choir: sophomore Shandee Allen and freshman Katelyn Patterson.  Congratulations girls!

Three band members were selected to All-State: junior Bethany Ragle, in orchestra, junior Koln Wright and sophomore Roger Osiek – congratulations to these band members!
