(Cushing, Okla) — Have you ever wondered if you were related to someone famous?  Beginning in April, anyone in the community wishing to learn more about their ancestors can attend classes – for FREE!

Trained advisors will be at the Cushing Public Library to assist you with learning more about your ancestors.  There are two types of classes – on is to learn the basics and a second advanced class will cover subjects such as: researching online newspapers, using court and land records, accessing military records and more.

Classes will be held from 10 – 11:30 am at Cushing Public Library, located at 215 N Steele Ave, Cushing.  Class sizes are limited to 6 – 8 people, so sign up now by contacting Joe Rose at 918-373-5701 or sign up at Cushing Public Library at 918-225-4188.  Those attending are asked to be there on time, since classes will begin promptly at 10 am.

Bring your laptop, iPad or something to access the internet. (no desk top computers, please!)  You will also need a notepad and pen/pencil to take notes.

Take advantage of this FREE service to learn more about who your ancestors were, how they traveled and whether or not you can claim lineage to a queen or king!
