(Stillwater, Okla.) — With the recent filing of additional charges in what may be the largest investigation of its type in Payne County history, a former Stillwater dental assistant has been accused of sexually assaulting 16 male patients, ages 15 to 23, while they were unconscious at an oral surgery center between June and September of 2021.Cody Allen Stolfa, 36, who has been jailed since last July when his first charge was filed, saw his bail increased from $50,000 to $1.8 million as a result of his new charges that include an additional 15 male patients, seven of whom were under 18 at the time of their alleged attacks but are adults now, court records show. Stolfa has been ordered to appear in court on Jan. 6 on his new charges.If convicted of all of his 36 felony counts including having sexual contact with dogs, videotaping sexual assaults of minors, and possessing more than 11,000 materials of explicit child pornography, Stolfa could be given up to 10 life sentences plus 400 years.The investigation, which involved multiple officers, began last June after the FBI notified Stillwater police about a video sent on Telegram of an unconscious individual being sexually assaulted by a medical professional in a dental office, an affidavit alleged.Stillwater Police Detective Stephanie Wheeler wrote in an affidavit that in July after she obtained a search warrant for employee records at the oral surgery center on S. Pine, police spoke to the office manager.“I provided her with a screenshot of the suspect in the video. I asked her if she knew him and if he was an employee. She stated it was Cody, and he did not work there very long She provided me with his complete work file.“I was told he was a clinical assistant. His role was to assist with dental surgery and to assist with after-surgery tasks such as recovery. I was told that Cody was relieved of his job on 10/13/2021,” the detective wrote in her affidavit.When an alleged victim and his father arrived at the Stillwater Police Department as requested in July of 2024, he was told “we believed him to be a victim of a sexual assault that took place while he was unconscious. He was provided with a screenshot of who I believed to be him from the video. He was asked if it was him. He stated it was.“He believed it to be from when he was getting his wisdom teeth removed. He would have been in college, so he was over 18 years old. He did not consent, know anybody from the office or have this encounter planned,” the detective alleged in that first affidavit filed on July 16, 2024.On Oct. 23, 2024, the detective obtained a search warrant “regarding MEGA accounts linked to Cody Stolfa regarding child sexual abuse material. I located a folder labeled ‘naughty.’ In this folder, I saw numerous videos of who I believe to be Cody Stolfa based on previous investigations, assaulting multiple males that appear to be unconscious in a dental office. I also located the video from the case which Cody was arrested for. I also located numerous unidentified victims which were being assaulted in the same manner,” her affidavit alleged.“In the folder labeled ‘naughty’ there are 115 media files. On Oct. 29, 2024, at approximately 11:15 am, I began to go through all the files. There were 11 media files of a male wearing the same clothes. They are all believed to be the same individual. The timeframe for the files was on 7/20/2021,” from 9:13 am to 9:26 am, the detective wrote in her affidavit.On Oct. 30, 2024, the detective obtained a search warrant “regarding the patient records for males which were under anesthesia on: 6/11/2021, 6/18/2021, 6/23/2021, 7/12/2021, 7/16/2021, 7/20/2021, 7/22/2021, 7/23/2021, 7/26/2021, 7/27/2021, 8/9/2021, 8/20/2021, 9/2/2021 and 9/21/2021,” her affidavit said.A 17-year-old male, believed to be the one in the videos on July 20, 2021, was interviewed with his mother on Nov. 13, 2024, the affidavit alleged. “I asked (him) if he ever had dental work in town; he stated he had; he got some teeth removed. He was placed under anesthesia for the procedure. I explained to (him) that I located videos that I believed to be of him while he was under anesthesia. I showed him one non-explicit screenshot from the videos.“He immediately identified it as himself. He believed he was about 17 at the time. I explained how the suspect touched him inappropriately. I asked him if he ever gave consent for the contact. He stated, ‘no,"” the detective alleged in her affidavit. In that case filed last week, Stolfa was charged with forcible oral sodomy and child sexual exploitation for his allegedly producing a video depicting the defendant’s sexual assault of the 17-year-old, court records show.In other charges filed last week, Stolfa was accused of:* sexual battery and child sexual exploitation of an unconscious 16-year-old boy on June 11, 2021, when he had his wisdom teeth removed and was allegedly videotaped by Stolfa sexually assaulting him;* three counts of sexual battery of an unconscious 18-year-old man on June 18, 2021, when he had his wisdom teeth removed;* lewd molestation and child sexual exploitation of an unconscious 15-year-old boy on July 26, 2021, when he was allegedly videotaped by Stolfa sexually assaulting him;* sexual battery of an unconscious 19-year-old man on July 27, 2021, when he had his wisdom teeth removed;* forcible oral sodomy, two counts of lewd molestation and one count of child sexual exploitation of an unconscious 15-year-old boy on Aug. 9, 2021, when he was allegedly videotaped by Stolfa sexually assaulting him;* sexual battery of an unconscious 20-year-old man on Aug. 20, 2021, when he had his wisdom teeth removed;* forcible oral sodomy and child sexual exploitation of an unconscious 16-year-old boy on Sept. 2, 2021, when he was allegedly videotaped by Stolfa sexually assaulting him;* forcible oral sodomy of an unconscious 23-year-old man on Sept. 21, 2021;* one count of preparation of obscene material between Jan. 29, 2023, and Feb. 13, 2024, when he allegedly videotaped himself engaging in sexual activity with a dog, and another count of preparation of obscene material on April 24, 2024, when he allegedly videotaped himself engaging in sexual activity with a dog;* three counts of aggravated possession of child pornography in excess of 11,000 materials total on July 10, 2024, and one count of distribution of child pornography on March 10, 2024, when he allegedly sent an image of a nude 16-year-old boy to another person by email;* forcible oral sodomy, two counts of lewd molestation and one count of child sexual exploitation of an unconscious 15-year-old boy on June 18, 2021, when he was allegedly videotaped by Stolfa sexually assaulting him;* forcible oral sodomy of an unconscious 20-year-old man on June 23, 2021, when he had his wisdom teeth removed;* sexual battery and child sexual exploitation of an unconscious 16-year-boy on July 26, 2021, when he was allegedly videotaped by Stolfa sexually assaulting him;* forcible oral sodomy and sexual battery of an unconscious 20-year-old man on July 12, 2021, when he had his wisdom teeth removed;* sexual battery of an unconscious 19-year-old man on July 23, 2021, when he had his wisdom teeth removed;* sexual battery of an unconscious 20-year-old man on July 12, 2021.
