(Stillwater, Okla.) — A former Payne County man, who reportedly moved to Kentucky where his father lives, has been charged with molesting a 10-year-old girl while staying at her residence in 2021.
Treston Wayne Willis, 20, was not listed as an inmate in the Payne County Jail this morning, a court official told KUSH. He has retained a Stillwater law firm to represent him, court records show. An arrest warrant was issued for him last week, court records show.
If convicted of lewd molestation, Willis could receive a minimum prison term of 25 years, according to the charge filed by Payne County First Assistant District Attorney Debra Vincent last week.
When the girl was interviewed at the Saville Child Advocacy Center in Stillwater last summer, she disclosed that Willis had molested her on many occasions, an affidavit alleged.
She “was too afraid to come forward sooner,” an affidavit alleged.
One of the defendant’s relatives told police, “Treston Willis had moved to London, Kentucky, and is now using the last name of his biological father,” which is Johnson, the affidavit alleged.
A police officer wrote in his affidavit, “I have made a very diligent and lengthy attempt to speak with Treston Willis to no avail.”
The girl’s mother alleged in a petition for a protective order against Willis, “I asked her why she never told me…and she said she was scared of what he would do next. Treston Willis does own a gun and has been known to use drugs.”
