STILLWATER — A 36-year-old Tryon woman accused of embezzling $5,500 cash from the reserve fund of Casey’s General Store in Cushing while she was the store manager has been ordered to appear in court with an attorney on May 12 on a felony charge.
Angel Lynn Garrison, who remains free on $10,000 bond, could be given as much as a five-year prison term plus a $5,000 fine and an order to pay restitution if convicted of the embezzlement charge that was filed on March 9. She was apparently terminated on Jan. 30, according to an affidavit.
Cushing Police Officer Jonathan Walker had been sent on Jan. 30 to Casey’s where he was told “that the store’s asset protection witnessed Garrison take $4,000 on different occasions via their surveillance camera system,” between Dec. 20 and Dec. 30 of 2025, his affidavit alleged.
The officer was given a statement that “In December I Angel Garrison took money, not sure on amount, from Casey’s General Store in Cushing, OK on multiple occasions using a accordion folder, my pink purse, and in a envelope,” the affidavit alleged.
On Feb. 12, Casey’s asset protection reported, “the total amount of cash taken by Garrison was $5,500,” the affidavit alleged.
