Edgar “Les” Kendrick II, age 33 of Cushing , passed away on Friday, August 1, 2008 in Perkins. Services will be held on 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 09, 2008 at the Hillcrest Baptist Church, Stillwater. Rev. John Dickey will officiate.

Arrangements are entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing.

Les was born on January 7, 1975 in Denver, Colorado to Edgar Leslie and Judy (Grant) Kendrick. He lived in Colorado until the age of 7, moving with his family to Webb City, OK. They moved to Perkins in 1982. He graduated from Perkins High School in 1993. Les married Chelsea Briggeman on November 6, 2004 at the Carney Baptist Church. They made their home in Cushing. He worked as a welder for AKL Oil Supply Co. in Cushing for the past four years. Les also had a crane operator license and a CDL. Les attended college for two years and received his Associate Degree in ministry. He enjoyed fishing, playing X Box and was a NASCAR fan. He was a devoted husband and father, and loved his wife and children very much.

Survivors include his wife Chelsea of the home, daughter Julia of the home, and expecting Baby boy Kendrick, father Edgar Leslie Kendrick of Carney, brothers Rick Kendrick of Cushing, Adam Kendrick and wife Jennifer of Stillwater, sisters Kelly Alexander of Perkins, Tess Hammock of Stillwater , Kimberly Kendrick of South Carolina, brother-in-law Joshua Briggeman of Cushing, parents-in-law Karen and Ed Fowler of Cushing, Jack Briggeman of Cushing, five nieces and three nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother.
