(Cushing, Okla.) The following information is a preliminary collision report furnished by the Department of Public Safety.

A collision occurred at 9:30 (am) on July 5th (2015) on SH48 0.2 miles north of Benight Road, which is located 4.8 miles east of Terlton city limits in Pawnee County.

Dennis Crume (57) of Drumright was driving a 2004 Lincoln 4D southbound, when the Lincoln crossed the center line, departing the roadway to the left. The Lincoln then traveled down an embankment and struck the ground and fence before becoming airborne then coming to rest in a tree line.

Crume was transported by ambulance to Hillcrest Medical Center in Cushing in where he is reported to be in stable condition with head, trunk internal, and trunk external injuries.

The DPS report shows that seatbelts were not in use. The report also show the cause of the accident to be inattention “or” sleepy.
