(Stillwater, Okla.) – A Cushing woman has been ordered to appear in court June 12 on charges of breaking into her ex-husband’s apartment in Stillwater and biting his girlfriend in the face in March; drunk driving, child endangerment, drug possession and transporting an open container of alcohol in Stillwater in 2014; and drunk driving and transporting an open container of beer in Stillwater in 2004 on which she remains on probation.
Michelle Leigh Mauk, 32, who previously lived in Perkins and Stillwater, remains free on $30,000 total bail with an order to have no contact with her ex-husband and his girlfriend, court records show.
In her latest case filed two months ago, Mauk was accused of breaking the front window of her ex-husband’s apartment in Stillwater on March 14 while he and his girlfriend were present and biting the woman in the face, court records show.
If convicted of first-degree burglary and assault and battery, Mauk, who has also been known by the surname of Brown, could be incarcerated for 20 years plus 90 days and fined $11,000, court records show.
Five months before that alleged incident, Mauk, who was then living in Perkins, was charged with drunk driving, child endangerment, drug possession and transporting an open container of alcohol in Stillwater on Oct. 17, 2014, court records show.
In another case, Mauk was placed on probation for one year in 2010 for escaping from an Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper while handcuffed after unbuckling her seatbelt, opening a door to the patrol car, and running from the scene of her arrest for about 30 yards until she was captured, court records show.
Mauk was also was placed on five years’ probation in 2010 for drunk driving in Stillwater and transporting an open container of beer in 2004, for which she had originally been given a five-year deferred sentence in 2005 with an order to complete the Payne County Drug Court program, records show.
Mauk had previously been placed on one year’s probation in 2002 for drunk driving and transporting an open container of beer in Stillwater, court records show.
Mauk had also previously been placed on three months’ probation in 2002 for assault and battery, court records show.
