(Cushing, Okla.)  Yesterday, Cushing Police investigated a reported tip of an act of violence that is alleged to occur this Saturday at an outdoor rodeo.  While our offices were able to confirm some of the information provided, the threat was unsubstantiated.

Although we have not been able to validate the threat, the Cushing Police Department will be partnering with outside agencies to increase law enforcement presence at the event.  “As with any received threat, we are taking this information very serious. Our top priority is the safety of the participants, onlookers, and citizens”, Chief Folden said.

Anyone with information regarding this threat is urged to contact Chief Tully Folden at 918-225-1212 or may submit an anonymous tip by going to CushingPD.com and following the tip link.
