(Perkins)- Cushing and Perkins-Tryon split in the final game of the regular season in high school basketball action Tuesday night. The Lady Tigers were shelled by the Lady Demons, 66-20. After being tied at 4-4 in the first quarter, the Lady Demons outscored Cushing 62-16. The Lady Demons will face OC Douglass in the district tournament Friday at Douglass. Cushing will face Blackwell that same night. Depending on the results of those games, Cushing could face Perkins again in the Regional Tournament again next week.
It’s a similar story for the Cushing Tiger Boys squad which scored a 62-42 win over P-T. Cushing plays at Blackwell Friday night, and depending on the outcome of that game, Cushing could face the Demons again next week.
Tipoff for the District Tournament games is at 6:30 for the Lady Tigers, and the Boys game will follow. Both games can be heard live on KUSH.
