(Stillwater, Okla.) — A Cushing man, who was convicted of indecent exposure in Texas, was charged today with violating the Oklahoma Sex Offender Registration Act and committing third-degree burglary on July 17 in Cushing.

Eli Jerome Lemon, 30, gave a home address on Eighth Street in Cushing when he posted $5,000 bond on his new two-count felony charge on July 21, court records show.

Lemon had been also accused of failing to register as a sex offender on Sept. 18, 2018, with the Oklahoma Department of Corrections, the Payne County Sheriff’s Office or the Cushing Police Department, court records show.

Lemon had been convicted in 2012 of indecent exposure in Harris County, Texas, court records show.

When Lemon was charged in 2018 with violating the Oklahoma Sex Offender Registration Act, his address was listed in court documents as in the 500 block of E. Broadway in Cushing, but when he posted $10,000 bond in April of 2019, he gave an address in Houston, Tex., as his residence, court records show.

Lemon had also been charged with possessing the painkilling medication, Hydrocodone, on June 24, 2018, a misdemeanor on which he remains free on $500 bond, court records show.

Lemon has been ordered to appear for arraignment on July 31 on his two-count sex offender and burglary charge that was filed today, court records show.

When Lemon was in court on July 16 on his 2018 charges of sex offender registration violation and drug possession, he was ordered to appear before Payne County Associate District Judge Stephen Kistler on Sept. 17.
