(Stillwater, Okla.) — A Cushing man was charged on Halloween with possessing a white GMC pick-up truck in Cushing on Aug. 12 that had been allegedly stolen from RK Oilfield Services in Ponca City.

If convicted of the felony charge, Logan Drake Leon Ramsey, 21, could be given a five-year prison term and a $5,000 fine. A court date has not yet been set in that felony case.

However, Ramsey has been ordered to appear in court Wednesday with an attorney on a misdemeanor charge of stealing almost all of the clothes from the closet of a Cushing woman on June 13.

Cushing Police Officer Christopher Haywood wrote in an affidavit that at about 8:05 p.m. on June 13 he was sent to a duplex in the 1500 block of S. Little Avenue regarding a theft.

A woman reported that “she had clothes in her room that were now missing and the outer screen to her window was laying on the ground on the south side of the house,” where she lived with a relative, the affidavit said.

She said that Ramsey “tried to sell her some of his ex-girlfriend’s clothes to her before hers went missing,” the affidavit alleged. She said “she counted 17 articles of clothing missing and valued them at about $600,” the affidavit said.

When two neighbors were shown Ramsey’s picture from Facebook, they agreed that it was Ramsey whom they had seen running outside the house with a bundle of miscellaneous clothes in his arms, the affidavit alleged.

The relative with whom the alleged victim resided said that Ramsey and another male were at the house that afternoon for an hour to do laundry and were welcome since they were family, the affidavit said.

According to Creek County court records, Ramsey was charged in September with possession of a stolen vehicle in Drumright, to which he pleaded guilty.

On Oct. 21, Ramsey was placed on five years’ probation under a deferred sentence, with an order to pay $1,000 in fines and assessments, Creek County court records show.
