(Cushing, Okla.) Cushing Firefighters have been getting the newly acquired fire trucks road ready and at a price tag of just under a half million dollars each, the fire trucks are quite the addition to the Fire Department’s existing apparatus.  Voters approved the purchase of the new trucks last year.

In addition to the new trucks (2), the city purchased a 2007 Smeal 105 foot quint ladder truck in 2015. The Smeal apparatus is used for fires and/or rescue scenarios in multi-story buildings and strip malls i.e. Ahrberg Mill, hotels, Cimarron Towers, Hillcrest Hospital Cushing, as well as residential structure fires.

Cushing Fire Department hosted an Open House, January 9th, 2019 from 3:00 pm -7:00 pm. Department personnel were on hand to meet and greet, and give personal tours to those interested. Everyone was/is welcome to come join them for the event at the Public Safety Center 211 W. Main, Cushing, Oklahoma.
