STILLWATER — A 46-year-old Cushing man with a criminal record in four counties has been jailed on $50,000 bond pending a Sept. 14 court appearance on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and on a revoked license on Highway 51 in rural Stillwater.
A year ago, Davin Ruark Kline had been released from prison to 20 years of probation for escape in Kay County and car theft in Noble County, both in 2022. If convicted of his Payne County charges, Kline could be incarcerated for eight years, court records show.
In his latest case, Kline was arrested at 12:55 am on July 28 on Highway 51 and Diamond Valley east of Stillwater by Payne County Sheriff’s Deputy Joseph Jones, court records show.
Jones, who is an advanced roadside impaired driving enforcement certified sheriff’s deputy, was conducting traffic enforcement in the area of Highway 51 and Prairie when he saw a vehicle fail to stop at the stop sign at 11:38 pm on July 27, according to his affidavit.
