(Cushing, Okla.) It was a proud moment for Cushing Regional Hospital, Monday, as CEO Randy DuBois accepted the 2010 Quality Award from Kevin Gross, President of Ardent Health Services, Oklahoma Division. According to Gross, the award is based primarily on core measures and patient satisfaction.
“Cushing Regiona Hospital not only received the Quality Award, but it received the highest scores in emergency room care and second highest in patient satisfaction,” Gross said.
Abbey Kendall, Chief Nursing Officer at Cushing Regional Hospital, was named CNO of the Year for 2010. Kendall has been at CRH since December 2004. “Abbey was selected for her great leadership and management skills and for being a driving force in the strive for excellence,” Gross said.
DuBois commended Kendall and staff for their great work, “Thank you. It’s been a 7-year effort toward this culture of quality,” he said. “I want to also thank Karen Schatz who played a huge role in this accomplishment.”
Cushing Regional Hospital is one of 8 hospitals in the Ardent Health Services system. Ardent acquired the Hillcrest Healthcare system in 2004 and is based in Nashville, Tennessee.
