Convicted Sex Offender Sent Back To Prison For Probation Violations

(Stillwater, Okla.) — A convicted rapist from Stillwater has been sent back to prison for failing to comply with the terms of his probation in a sex offender registration violation case, court records show.

Rellos Montelongo Hernandez, 47, admitted in court on Valentine’s Day that he had violated the probationary part of his sentence, which was changed to prison by District Judge Phillip Corley last week.

In an application to revoke his suspended sentence, prosecutor Debra Vincent wrote that Hernandez had failed to report to the probation office within 24 hours of his release, to keep his probation officer notified of any change in his address, to register as a sex offender since his release, and to pay a prosecution fee as ordered by the court.

According to the state Department of Corrections, Hernandez had been convicted in Payne County of:

* second-degree rape in 1991 for which he was sentenced in 1992 to 15 years in prison, of which he served about five and one-half years;

* stalking in 1998 for which he was given in 2001 a two-year prison term, of which he served one year;

* failure to register as a sex offender in 2009 for which he was given in 2010 a five-year prison term, of which he served 15 months;

* failure to register as a sex offender in 2010 for which he was given in 2010 a concurrent five-year prison term of which he served 16 months;

* lewd proposal or acts to a child in 2009 for which he was given in 2010 a concurrent five-year prison term of which he served three years;

* failure to register as a sex offender in 2016 for which he was given in 2017 a two-year prison term of which he served six months, followed by three years of probation that was revoked to prison last week.
