STILLWATER — An ex-convict was given a 15-year prison term Friday for robbing a teller on her second day at the Stillwater National Bank’s main branch downtown nearly two years ago.

Brad Michael Harris, 29, of Stillwater, who was originally charged with robbery by fear, pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of second-degree robbery, in the April 5, 2006, bank heist, for which he was ordered to pay $6,685 restitution.

District Judge Donald Worthington also ordered that Harris be given substance abuse treatment in prison, in accordance with a plea bargain.

Harris, who was a part-time model for an art class at Oklahoma State University where he was not a student, was arrested in front of the campus fire station on Knoblock Street, the day after the robbery, Stillwater Police Lt. Mike Metcalf said.

About four months earlier, Harris had been paroled from an Arizona prison, where he served time for a 1999 Arizona conspiracy conviction, Oklahoma Department of Corrections records show.
