He’s a roper and no doubt wears Wranglers, but for more than a decade now, he is most widely known as the “Voice of PBR” (Pro Bull Riders).  And once again, Justin McKee will be returning to Cushing as “the voice” of the Cushing Community PRCA Rodeo, July 9 and 10, 2010.

McKee is no stranger to these parts – he is a graduate of Oklahoma State University and calls Nowata County “home.”  He and his wife Jeannie and their daughter Kassidy live on a ranch near Lenapah, Oklahoma where they have put together an outstanding bucking bull breeding program and quarter horse breeding program.  In fact, he owns one of the larger herds of cows bred specifically to raise bulls that will buck in the PBR.

McKee’s rodeo roots run deep.  He not only enjoys announcing at arenas across the country, he is known to climb aboard his horse and compete in a little steer roping.

Some might say it is McKee’s knowledge of the animals and their riders that has given him a reputation in the business few announcers can match.  It is his friendly manner, great sense of humor and love of the sport that makes him one of the top announcers in the country.
