News Release

(Stillwater, Okla) — Eyemart Express, a leading national optical retailer and the fastest provider of quality prescription eyewear in the industry, celebrates the opening of its first Stillwater store, located at 1932 North Perkins Road in Lakeview Pointe Shopping Center, on February 15. Eyemart Express created ten new jobs in the community and makes affordable and high-quality prescription eyewear more convenient for local residents. This store marks the optical retailer’s fifteenth location in Oklahoma.

For 30 years, Eyemart Express has taken pride in providing busy consumers with a unique mix of value, style and timely service. The 4,426 square foot Stillwater store carries more than 2,000 frames from brands such as Michael Kors, Longchamp, Columbia, Disney, and Nike. Busy shoppers can appreciate that Eyemart Express also features an onsite lab so that 90 percent of glasses can be ordered and received on the same day — some in as little as 30 minutes.

“We are excited to bring our vast high-quality eyewear assortment and time-saving optical solution to Stillwater with our same-day glasses,” said Paula Blomquist, Eyemart Express chief marketing and merchandising officer. “Our trained opticians are ready to help customers find glasses that are the perfect fit for them and their lifestyle.”

The Eyemart Express grand opening celebration on February 15 runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Festivities include live remotes, prizes from the Wheel of #FrameandFortune, and a special giveaway: The first 25 families at the event will receive a voucher for one free pair of kid’s glasses.

Stillwater residents can either visit the independent doctors of optometry next door for an eye exam or they can bring in an existing prescription from their eye doctor. Grand opening promotions provide shoppers with deals on top of existing affordable prices:
One pair of single vision glasses for $20, and
One pair of progressive vision glasses for $30.
Get a free second pair of glasses with insurance.

Eyemart Express is also celebrating its 30th anniversary and running an exciting monthly giveaway this year: Customers who make a purchase at the store in 2020 will automatically be entered to win a $2020 gift card. This gift card can be used on frames, sunglasses, lens treatments, and accessories.

The store opening expands the optical retailer’s everyday discount programs in Oklahoma:
All veterans, retired, active- and non-active duty military personnel and their families receive an additional 10 percent off the company’s existing affordable prices. A valid military ID is required at the time of purchase.
School faculty and staff including teachers, coaches, bus drivers, janitors and more, receive a 20 percent discount on eyewear purchases. A valid school employee ID is required at the time of purchase.

“We recognize military families and educators do so much to shape our future generations,” said Ms. Blomquist. “Our everyday programs allow us to show our appreciation for their hard work and sacrifice.”
