I would like to thank everyone who wears a mask in public to protect others from germs such as coronavirus that they may not know they have.
Those kind people may be saving the lives of my sister and my husband, both of whom have suppressed immune systems as a result of cancer treatment.
People wearing a mask may also be saving the lives of my friends, some of whom have diabetes, asthma or rheumatoid arthritis.
Getting Covid-19 could be a death sentence for them, as it could be for any of us.
There is a Christian admonition, “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.”
I don’t think anyone wants to get this highly contagious coronavirus.
It’s such a small thing to do — to wear a mask to save a life.
By the way, a mask is not optional in the Payne County Courthouse.
If you don’t have one on, be prepared for the judge to order you out of the courtroom.
