STILLWATER — A 40-year-old man has been accused of grabbing a woman, with whom he had lived in a Cushing house before being evicted, and throwing her over a bar and a table before throwing her outside onto the concrete.
An arrest warrant for Kevin O’Dell Pierce had been issued on Sept. 18, but he was not arraigned with an attorney on a felony domestic violence charge until Oct. 15, when he was remanded to the Payne County Jail with $25,000 bond set pending a Dec. 7 court appearance, records show.
Due to his prior convictions in 2022 for possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute in Cushing in 2019 and domestic violence in the presence of a minor in 2018, Pierce could be given as much as a 10-year prison term if found guilty of domestic assault and battery as a subsequent offense.
Cushing Police Officer Brody Todd alleged in an affidavit that when he talked to the victim at the Hillcrest Hospital shortly before midnight on Aug. 15, she said, “I went to the house between 5-6 pm to get the rest of my belongings out of the house. (A man) told me he (Pierce) was gone. I entered through the back, and I was greeted by Kevin Pierce.
“When I made it to the kitchen area, he grabbed me under my breast and squeezed and threw me over some barricades he made in the house, picked me up again and threw me over the bar and kitchen table.
“He picked me up again and threw me outside on concrete. Before he threw me down outside the concrete, he kept yelling ‘Get out. I hate you.’ I said, ‘I can’t breathe. You might have broken my ribs.’ He said, ‘I do not care. I’ll break every bone in your body.’
“That’s when he picked me up and threw me on concrete. I landed on my right side. I held onto him, and he landed on top of me, then got up and told me ‘Never enter this home again,’ locked me out from the front door and barricaded the back door because he kicked in the door to get to me months ago.
“I left (and) went to friend’s house to rest, but pain got worse, so I went to ER to see if my ribs were broken.”
The Cushing officer alleged in his affidavit that on Aug. 20, he went to the house on S. Thompson to speak to Pierce but was unable to contact him. A woman “advised me that Kevin had been evicted from the property and would be returning at an undisclosed time to retrieve his property. She advised me that Kevin would allegedly be moving to Texas with his family members.”
