(Cushing, Okla.) – After serving the Cimarron Valley for well over 50 years as an elementary school, Sunnyside will be transitioning to the grade center concept this fall, serving pre-K and Kindergarten students.

To celebrate our rich history, Sunnyside will be hosting a celebration on Monday, May 11, 2015, from 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. Alumni and current students, teachers, administrators, support staff, parents, and community members are invited to join us at the school to celebrate and reminisce. Inflatables will be setup for children and the Sunnyside Community Club will be serving hotdogs and other refreshments throughout the evening.

Principal Casie Brannon said, “We are excited to host an evening of celebration to mark the legacy Sunnyside School has left in the Cimarron Valley.” She continued, “We cannot underscore enough the appreciation we have for the many teachers, parents and support staff who has served our school in some tangible way. Their unmistakable legacy is forever sealed because they used their gifts to make a difference one student at a time so we hope they will come back and help us celebrate all it means to have been a part of Sunnyside.”

Anyone who may have additional questions is welcome to contact Principal Casie Brannon at 918-225-1635, from 8:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Sunnyside School is located at 1919 S. Kings Highway.
