Yale Public Schools has announced the first day of school has been postponed until Monday, August 18, 2014, to allow ServPro of South Tulsa County the opportunity to properly clean and restore the damaged classrooms and equipment. XacTest Environmental, LLC recently performed an air quality test, and while official results are not available at this time, preliminary indications suggest no air-born threat at this time.
Yale Public Schools said, “We regret any inconvenience that this causes; however, we feel that the safety and well-being of students and staff is our most important priority. The most efficient way to restore our school facilities is to allow the professionals to work uninterrupted with complete access to our affected areas.”
The first day of school for Yale Public Schools will be August 18, 2014. The Open House that was previously scheduled for Monday, August 11, 2014 has been cancelled.
