Meet Mac – a housebroken, young male Lab mix, under one year old.  He is playful, yet well-mannered in the house.  His story, like many of the animals rescued by Cimarron Valley Humane Society, is sad – and deserving of a happy ending.

Mac was rescued from a home in Perkins where he had been neglected and his collar was embedded in his neck.  His injury was treated and has healed well.

The foster parents of Mac had this to say about his behavior and his needs:

“We have a dog door at our home and he figured it out the first day and now goes in and out on his own to use the bathroom.  (No accidents!)  He is playful yet well mannered in our house.  Mac stays inside our house 24/7 and does great indoors as you can see in the *picture of him sleeping and the video of him playing.  Mac would do best in a home with another dog to keep him company or where he won’t be left alone for long periods of time. Mac deserves a really good home.  He will make someone a loving and devoted pet.”
