
(Drumright, Okla.) It’s time for the 46th Annual Oilpatch Jamboree in Drumright, Oklahoma! This year it’s a 4-day event starting Wednesday, October 3rd, with a Praise in the Park at 6:30 p.m. in Whitlock Park. Bring a lawn chair and enjoy the music provided by five local churches.
On Thursday, October 4th, children can enjoy a free movie at the Drumright Library. Space is limited, so please call ahead at 918-352-2228 to reserve your children a space. That evening, head to Drumright School for the Little Miss Oilpatch Pageant. The Tiny Miss, Little Miss and Miss Oil Patch Pageant will award 3 qualified contestants the chance to represent Drumright in the Parade and other appearances throughout the year. Pageant starts at 7 p.m. Admission is $5.
Friday night, come on out and support your school and community as the Drumright Tornados take on the Pawhuska Huskies. Admission to the game is $5 for adults and $3 for students. Kick off is at 7 p.m., but come early and get your seat and see the surprising game ball presentation.
Start off your action-packed Saturday with a good breakfast at the Drumright Band Boosters’ Pancake Breakfast! It starts at 7 a.m. at the Masonic Lodge, 212 N. Ohio Avenue.
Enjoy the 5k Jamboree Jog Color Run starting at 9 a.m. Starting line is at City Hall, 125 W. Broadway.
Celebrate the Oilpatch at the Parade starting at 11 a.m. The parade features oil field equipment, fire trucks, antique cars, marching bands and floats and begins at the corner of Jones Ave. and Broadway and will proceed down hill to the Drumright Museum.
Immediately following the parade, the Jamboree celebration continues at Whitlock Park. There will be food trucks, fire department cookout, a cake walk, tractor ride and vendors. You can even watch the OU-Texas game on a widescreen. Take on the challenge of an obstacle course for kids and adults. At 6 p.m. hear the great melodies of “And Then There Were Two.” Amy Carlin Lee, Austin K.
