
Stillwater) - A Stillwater man has been charged by the Payne County District Attorney's Office with the sale of LSD.
According to an affidavit by Oklahoma State University Police Officer Dan Ray, on October 8, 2009 Tyler Scott Thayer allegedly sold lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD or acid) to a confidential informant (CI) of the OSU PD in sight of two Stillwater Police officers and two OSU Police officers. Thayer allegedly sold the CI four hits of LSD identified as such by using a NIK LSD test kit.
On January 26, 2010 Special Judge Phillip Corey Signed an arrest warrant for Thayer on the count of unlawful delivery of a controlled and dangerous substance which is punishable by a fine of up to $100,000 or imprisonment for 5 years to life or both. His bond was set for $20,000.
On February 3, 2010 Thayer appeared from the Jail without Counsel to the court of Special Judge Phillip Corley. The State of Oklahoma was represented by Assistant District Attorney Jill Tontz. Thayer was given an application for a court appointed attorney, and reset the case to February 4, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. OCIS has automatically assigned Associate District Judge Stephen R. Kistler to this case.
