The City of Stillwater and the International Friendship Committee of Stillwater is announcing sign up for their annual Hospitality Day. Hospitality Day is an event that brings together international students and Stillwater residents or students from around the U.S. Hosts and students are matched by the IFCS and International Students and Scholars Office. American hosts are matched with an international student, a few international students, or a whole international family. If possible hosts and guests are pre-matched according to the host's plans for the day and the international student's preferences.

Hosts are to meet their international guests at 11:00 a.m. at the OSU Family resource center located at McElroy and Walnut, dress is casual. Hosts are urged to take their international guests to experience what the host would normally do on a Saturday.

The purpose of this event is for international students to learn more about American culture and for Americans to learn more about other cultures as well. Hosts are encouraged to discuss their cultural differences such as table manners and cultural food restrictions to avoid any uncomfortable moments later in the afternoon. Most importantly hosts and international guests are encouraged to relax, have a good time and make new friends!
