

(Stillwater) - Former Secretary of State Dr. Condoleezza Rice will be speaking at Gallagher-Iba arena on Thursday February 4, 2010.
The School of International Studies, OSU President's Speaker Series, Spears School of Business, and the Student Government Association's Speakers Board are welcoming Dr. Condoleezza Rice to speak at the twenty fourth edition of their Global Briefing Series.
Founded in 2001 by the Students of international studies, visiting speakers deliver briefings to educate students and the public about current events both in the United States and around the world.
Former speakers include Steve Forbes Editor and Chief of Forbes Magazine and Former Prime Minister of Jordan Dr. Adnan Badran.
Rice is a Former Secretary of State and National Security Advisor to Former President George W. Bush. Rice also has an extensive education in political science including a PHD from the University of Denver and has an extensive knowledge on global affairs.
The event will be held at Gallagher-Iba Arena on the Stillwater-OSU campus on Thursday February 4, 2010 starting at 3:30 p.m. There will be an opportunity to write a question you have for Rice on a card before the event, and she will be selecting several to read an answer during her presentation. Cameras and audio recording devices will not be allowed during the presentation, there will also be a bag check at the door for every one's safety.
Tickets are required for the event and are free for OSU students and faculty. Admission for the general public is ten dollars in advance and fifteen dollars at the door. Rice will also be speaking in Oklahoma City and Tulsa before her Stillwater visit.
