Marleta (Campbell) Ramsey, 84, passed away peacefully at her home on June 23, 2012. Her funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at Strode Funeral Home Chapel in Stillwater, OK. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Strode Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
She was born and raised in Davenport, OK to Troy and Hazel Campbell. She married Clyde Ramsey on March 15, 1947.
There was never a St. Louis Cardinals game she didn't want to watch, an OSU sporting event she didn't want to attend, or a bridge table where she didn't want to play. Marleta had her dream job at the OSU Athletic Department working for Tommy Chesbro and other coaches.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, and nephew.
She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Ramsey, and husband, Christopher D. Szlichta; granddaughter, Jennifer Meyer Hanson, and husband, Jason; three great grandchildren, Jack, Jaylee, and Jett Hanson; nieces, Carla Campbell of Stillwater, and Melissa Atkinson, and husband, Lance; and nephews, Gary, Dale, and Randy Campbell, and Mike James.
